DASY CEO Michael Yiallouris stared in the hospitality industry in 1991 when he bought his first restaurant Mantovanni’s in the Eastgate Shopping Centre. This is where his passion for the industry was born and has grown expenentionaly since then.

In the same year he started the successful Centre Court brand in Durban and a year later was part of the ownership of the famous Circus Circus Restaurant and Coffee shop in the same city.

By 1999 Michael saw the gap in the South African eatery scene for a chain with a distinct Mediterranean feel, relaxed atmosphere and a menu with a wide variety offering,and this is how The Piatto Brand was formed. Piatto Restaurant and Grill now boasts stores in Gauteng, KZN and North West Province. Each store reiterates the “ way life's meant to be lived” . In 2003,George Prosalendis, DASY COO, joined the group with his 10 years experience.

Within 5 years, with the franchises and their passion still growing at sustainable rates, the magnificent Vilamoura Restaurant was incorporated in to the group offering patrons an enchanting, magical dining experience.

In 2007 PCK Distributors was started in Johannesburg. This was done in an attempt to alleviate the frustrating administration and inconsistent quality experienced with restaurant suppliers. They now run out of a 3000 m2 space and have 15 trucks servicing the restaurant industry.

The successful sauce and spice manufacturer, Mr Sauce was purchased in 2012. In 2014 the herb and spice company Qualifresh was purchased and this necessitated the combining of all the companies under one roof. The DASY group of companies was thus brought into existence.
